Friant and Fort Washington, no waiting time and an excellent Santa experience. Highly recommended!
O God, as Naomi and Ruth journeyed from one land to another seeking a home;
So we ask your blessing upon all who are homeless in our world.
For those sleeping outdoors in the heat and in the cold.
For those who can only find shelter for the night but must wander in the day.
For families broken because they could not afford to pay their rent.
For those who have no relatives or friends to take them in.
For those who have no place to keep their possessions that remind them who they are.
For those who are afraid and hopeless.
For those who have been betrayed by our social safety net.
We pray for those of us with warm houses and comfortable beds that we not be lulled into complacency and forgetfulness.
Lord help us to see your face in the eyes of every homeless person we meet so that we may be empowered through word and deed, and through the political means we have, to bring justice and peace to those who are homeless.
You promised your chosen people a land flowing with milk and honey; inspire us to enable those who are homeless to secure places of peace, protection and nurture, flowing with opportunity, blessing and hope.
On this 25th World AIDS Day, ONE’s new report says 2015 will be the first time the world will be ahead of AIDS. If current rates of acceleration continue, we could achieve the beginning of the end of AIDS – when the number of people newly added to treatment surpasses the number newly infected with HIV – by 2015.
